Excellent time at Champlain Valley Fair! We went Thursday night. Only $6 after 6 pm admission. Had photos in the Blue ribbon pavilion art show. That was our first stop. Then the larger Ferris wheel. Amazing to see all the lights from that view. Midweek Madness $3 meal deals was perfect. We had Dale Boca Argentinian Food Truck rice bowl & spinach empanadas were fantastic. Very filling. 1st time trying fried Oreos, Brilliant! Had to check out giant pumpkins, prize winning flowers & vegetables.
Finished the night with the best Maple Creemee ever at the Maple Sugar House!
As a 13th birthday gift for my granddaughter my daughter purchased tickets for the Pentatonix concert and included me. She also purchased the meet and greet. We traveled from New Jersey for a girls weekend. I grew up in Burlington in 50's and 60's and many fond memories of the Fair. I was looking forward to spending the day there but all it did was rain cats and dogs. We still had a great time . It was a wonderful girls weekend.
Had a great time at the fair and the John Mellencamp concert was amazing. Unfortunately for the second year in a row the traffic leaving is poorly managed and we have already waited 1/2 hour and barely moved. Where's the staffing that was here at 11am when no one was here?
There is always something going on here. They host a lot of kid events and family functions. Clean, well put together and fun.
If i could give less then one star i would. I purchased tickets for my wife and i to the Pentatonix concert and was extremely disappointed with the seats in section 117. Of the remaining tickets available, I chose these tickets over the grandstand because they were more expensive and i assumed that they would be better seats. Couldn't have been more wrong. We couldn't see more than 10% of the stage so we were relegated to watching the show on the television screen. It is almost criminal to sell tickets in this location and the organizers should be ashamed. We had people on either side of us from Massachusetts and Florida and I was embarrassed that this was a representation of how VT does business. Never again will i patronize this venue. I suppose one star is worthy for the music heard. Just for the record...the weather that evening has nothing to do with this review. Rain or shine, it would be the same.
